Happy New Year!

Whether this past year has been a challenge or a blessing, it’s almost time to bid it farewell…

This year has been both challenging and rewarding for me, but as I look toward the new year, I do so with cautious optimism for what’s next.

  1. “Now I have to remember you for longer than I’ve known you.” People always talk about the first holidays being hard when someone passes away, but I think the second holidays without them are worse. The shock is gone, and now the reality has set in.
  2. “I would rather adjust my life to your absence, than adjust my boundaries to accommodate your disrespect.” For me 2022 will be “The Year of No!” Please remember that “No.” and “No, thank you.” are complete sentences.
  3. “You’ll stop worrying so much what other people think of you when you realize how seldom they do.”—David Foster Wallace…If you want to buy that thing, divorce that person, quit that job, commit to a journey…Bottom line: Do you!
  4. “The mind replays what the heart wants to heal.” My wish for you all in the new year is to heal the matters of your heart. You deserve it!
  5. “Be a fountain, not a drain.”—Rex Hudler (Gary Vaynerchuk, aka Gary Vee, coined the following “2022: A year of being accountable to kindness”.) If you don’t know where to begin, start with being kind with yourself first and go from there.

Ps…”The moon is a reminder that no matter what phase you’re in, you are still whole.”
