The Truth Isn't Always Ugly

So, after a very long work week…it is time for another episode of #TreatYoSelf…

After 5.5 hours last night…some thoughts:

1. Does anyone ever accept the first offer at a dealership? I was insulted…

2. Why are the finance people some of the most arrogant people in the place?

3. Why does it take so damn long?

4. Salesman: “I appreciate that you’re direct, but if I’m honest it’s also intimidating.” (Am I intimidating or are your intimidated?)

5. I’m still annoyed at myself that I didn’t think to DoorDash dinner to the dealership while I impatiently waited…or drive the car that was still mine at the time? #Dumbass

6. When a lady drives a Honda, she’s a Ho-N-Da car! (Thank you, TikTok.)

7. Is there a support group for commitment issues? I may need a meeting…the struggle is real.

8. Finance guy: “I’m just curious why you aren’t interested in the extra warranty?” After saying “No, thank you!”, 30 different ways…I almost said I’m sure someone will call me in a day or two about my car’s extended warranty. I’ll make a decision then.

9. I am not an expert in car buying…but while they focus on the monthly payment amount, you should focus on the total price of the car and the value of your trade. Just my two cents…

10. Salesman: “What’s your bottom line? Me: “I’ll let you know when you get closer to it.”
